Instagram has checkpoints in place to protect your account when someone tries to access it outside of the normal usage patterns. For instance, you might get a checkpoint request if you've just landed from taking a long flight since you'll be in a totally new location.

Because our servers access your account from a different location to you, they may trigger a checkpoint. If this occurs, you will get an email from Instagram and a message on the Instagram app like the one below.

If this happens to you when you're trying to connect your Instagram account to Mish, you should click "This Was Me" to let Instagram know that you're OK with us connecting.

Sometimes it presents more than one checkpoint as it doesn’t always work the first time - however, once we pass the checkpoint, Instagram will learn that the connection from Mish should be trusted.
